Founder & Managing Principal
Tyler Van Zandt is the founder and managing principal of TVZ Strategy & Operations LLC, a Triangle-based consultancy helping leaders connect strategy with execution. His background combines operations management, business ownership and cross-functional leadership across military and commercial organizations.
Tyler Van Zandt is an operations executive, business owner, and U.S. Army Reserve Lieutenant Colonel with more than 18 years of experience leading complex organizations and programs across military, federal, and commercial environments.
His career spans direct leadership of organizations with significant personnel and equipment resources, responsibility for more than $45 million in programs and operations, and senior-level planning in joint military environments. That experience informs every engagement — bringing operational discipline, strategic clarity, and executive-level judgment to the organizations TVZ serves.
Tyler founded TVZ Strategy & Operations to bring together experience from military leadership, federal and commercial programs, business ownership, and consulting. His approach to complex problems is grounded in the disciplined planning principles used throughout his military career, adapted to help organizations understand problems, evaluate options, make informed decisions, and translate strategy into execution.
